It sound like the MAF sensor is relaying incorrect data to the vehicle's fuel management system. Are there any check engine or service engine soon lights on? You can try to clean the mass air flow sensor by removing sensor and cleaning with an aerosol spray designed to clean mass air flow sensors. This can help some times but you may be better off in the long run replacing the sensor. Talk to you soon, TY

Which sensor did you unplug and then reconnected? Can you provide a picture or all the numbers on the sensor it self? I can help you better when we establish which sensor we are talking about.
