Automatic gearbox

my automatic gearbox on my 2000 Toyota Altezza makes a thumping sound when put into reverse/drive while stationary.
I have no sounds when rolling/speeding up or down. Seems to shift normally.

Am I in gearbox trouble?

May be a shift vale or pressure related problem, this will have to be checked by a trans tech as they will have the specialist equipment to do these test.
