2000 Saturn Sw2 Sw Does Over Heat While Idling Hoy Coolant Comes Out Recovery

my 2000 saturn sw does not over heat but while idling hoy coolant comes out of the recovery tank when the temp needle is at the 12oclock position, never goes to the red, the fan comes on like it should, no oil in the coolant or water in the oil.
can you help?

You ethier have a bad coolant temp sensor and or a bad coolant cap.
