I overflowed my gas tank and the carbon canister has fuel in it. How do I get rid of the fuel in the canister?

How did you come to that unusual conclusion? There is a large air chamber at the top of the gas tank. That's where expanding vapor leaves and goes to the charcoal canister. Those fumes will be drawn out and be burned in the engine. If there really is liquid in there, it will just take time to vaporize and be drawn out, but I've never heard of that happening.
