MY GEAR SHIFT IS ALL LOOSE AND WOBBLY

WON"T LOCK INTO ANY GEAR, NOT EVEN NEUTRAL. MY CAR IS A SEDAN.

This happened while I was driving (scary!), was downshifting while exiting the freeway and all of a sudden the stick shift seemed not connected to anything (!). The clutch is fine and only 6 months old.

sounds like something broke/loosened up in shifter.

Just to add to this one check at the base of the shifter where you shift inside the car if one of the shift cables has come loose let me know.I have the permentant fix for it.
