My car is pouring the coolent out the top of the reservoir but my car isnt reading hot what could this be

If the cap is on and tight and its coming out of the cap two common things coolant temp sensor is bad and its running hotter then you think . second reason the radiator cap is bad and not holding back the correct pressure.Third thing blown head gasket.
