I have a 2000 saturn sc2 manual trans. 1.9 liters. I removed transmission because it was shot. Now my question is when replacing it is there a certain way to align transmission when installing with engine or just install it? Am I making it more difficult than it is?

Nothing special except to rotate the trans slightly to make it go into position.

If the clutch was removed, the disc has to be aligned otherwise you are going to have problem.

You're welcome and have a nice day.

Ensure the transmission is seated fully before you attempt to tighten the bolts. Do not use the bolts to force the transmission in, use them as guide while you shake the trans into position.

Just to add to this one here's my trick and I have done a ton of those. Hold the transmission againist the engine then turn the crank pulley bolt clockwise while pushing the transmission in place. It will slid right in.
