my gas guage readings are very eratic...when I fill it up it might read half full or something else so I never know how much gas is in it...it also goes up and down never reading the same thing...I am not sure how to procede with the repair

ground the wire out if you can and see if gauge goes to full if it does then the sending unit is messed up but it may require a whole fuel tank unit to fix which can be quite exspensive
