The driver side wiper on 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix is not working, the passenger side continues to work fine. Does the wiper motor need replaced? If so, how is that done.

There is only one motor that runs both. It sounds like the linkage has come apart that operates the driver's side. At the base of the windshield is the cowl. It has the air vents in it between the glass and the hood. It needs removed to access the linkage. Remove it and check to see if something has come disconnected or broken.
