When I got my oil changed last week, they told me my water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. Well today I was driving and all of a sudden my car got extremely loud. Could it be my water pump?

Yes it's extremely loud. It happened suddenly. Will the noise go away if the water pump is replaced?
