runing rough at idle

my car is running rough the check engine light was on but with no working on the car the check engine light went off but it running rough and running rich what would cause this problem. i gave it a oil change i changed the up stream oxygen sensor but did not replace the down stream..nothing seem out of place.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.
