Car has a sqealing noise when its running while sitting still and warming up and even after warmed up and during driving and seems to get worse with turning steering wheel. Just got a new alternator and battery and this squealing has been ongoing for over a year. How can I find out what it is? Could it be a belt or power steering pump or what? I am a female widowed and just want to see what it is to stop the noise.

Belt and tensioner should be replaced at 60K recommended. It may be the belt.

Yep, the engine squealing noise is usually the serpentine belt, here is how to check the belt tensioner and how to replace the serpentine belt to help fix the problem. Here is a generic guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car.
