Front Driver side door door problem

I bought this Pontiac recently, the driver side door not opening fronm ouside even though the all door unlocks through key. Other doors i am able to open through outisde lever. But the front driver side Door unlock lever in outside of the door is not working. but through the lever inside the front door, i am able to open the door. what could be the problem? can any one help me on this door issue

Your going to have to remove the inner door panel to see if the outside release handle rod just came off or something is broken.
