can i replace my thermostat and head gaskit of opel astra 1996 model with mine corsa 2000 model.

opel astra 96 model headgaskit and thermostat are same are not of corsa 2000 model.can i change by astra's.and how to know head gaskit blown up alternate to compresion test

do a pressure test on coolant system and compression test that should tell you if head gasket is blown ornot. otherwise we have no info on that vehicle.
