The motor for the front windshield wipers work, but the arms won't move. How can I fix this?

When turning on the windshield wipers, I can hear the motor come on, but the arms won't move. This started with the driver's side wiper getting stuck in the outer position and now the passenger side won't move either.

Check the wiper arm ends if its crossthreated or try to tighten it down
