Temp gauge going up to hot,no heat as of recently,thermostat was changed yesterday,and slight coolant leak from somewhere,cant tell where..What else may be going on??

have pressure tested for leaks first, make sure coolant level is correct or you won't have any heat.

Yes,and thanks so much.... i took the car in and had that test,turns out it has a cracked cylinder head unfortunately.It had a slight coolant leak at the time we didnt know where it was coming from..My daughter had added coolant to the system,however i dont think she kept up with it as she should of allowing it to fluctuate in temp too much,and as a result,this is what happens...
