What happened with my truck?

We were driving our 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada yesterday and we had the cruise set on 60. The truck was driving fine and all of a sudden we heard a bang and the truck down shifted and we pulled over. Now it wont start and it's backfiring. Can u help?

Check the fuel pressure if okay-check ignition timing

checkto see if a timing chain broke also check for codes.
