Plz help. Speed sensor

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada which has 194,000 miles. I already put a used engine and a transmission (50,000 miles used). Ive had alotttt of problems with it but I got all of them pretty much fixed. My main problems I have is when I put the use transmission in the 3/2 cylinoid failed which it still drives just messes up with the shifting here and there. Now, I started driving it about a couple days ago and the speedometer was on 0mph, wouldnt not move which made the truck only dive about 5 miles an hour It almost felt as if I was in nutral and gasing but it wouldnt go any higher in speed then like 5-10mph (Ive been manually shifting my gears for it to go any faster). So I took it to get a dignostic and Autozone told me it was a failing speed sensor. I checked the wire that is conected to it ( sensor that I checked is the one under the truck by passengerside on transmission) So I purchased a VSS and installed it, but still not working just doing the same thing. I made sure the connection was fine and all of that area. Im not sure what else it could be plz help me understand if I need to check anything anywhere on the truck or anything else it could be. Oh and also my check engine sign is on and also the abs and sometimes the 4x4 will come on and off here and there. Honestly, it drives soooo wonderful but this problem just made it horrible now. Im sooo worried that I might not be able to figure it out. Ive been looking online and reading peoples post, lots of them never figuring out the problem even when taking to a dealer. HELP

Was the engine and tranny, the same year--make--model and engine size? If not, it could be a computer issue? What was the actual code?

I have a vortec 4.3 liter. And I cant remember the atual code. I cant remember the actual code, but autozone told me it wasnt a computer issue. Its basically not moving when I gas only like 5-10 miles at most. Like when I gas it, it sounds like when u have the car in nutural and u gas it but it doesnt move except it does just stays at 5-10mil. I have a clylinoid 3/2 failure but I was told its not that its one of the sensors. Im soooo worried. What if its electrical? Ive been online trying to figure out what it could be. Im just not very educated with this issue.

Oh and the transmission is a 460 le there both ( engine and transmission) the same make and model as the original that was inside the truck. Im so afraid to take it in cause everyone in my area is SHADY! I sooo appreciate ur site. Thanks for helping me and everyone with questions.

Oh and I forgot to mention it only works in 2nd gear on manual

In gear does the engine rev without going much? If so, I'd have to suspect a tranny issue.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure. If you have that spider fuel system, they are known for problems. I don't have anything at the moment to point in the right direction?

If it only runs in second gear, sounds like a tranny issue.

Yes, it revs when I gas it and doesnt move very much. Just barely. Also, sometimes the speedometer will move around like 1 time the past 2 weeks then it would drive fine like it would, but once the speedometer stays at 0mph its drives like that very slow like ill gas it and it wont move at a normal speed. Its like the weirdest thing ever.

When I took it to get a diagnostic last week it read clyinoid 3/2 and speedsensor failure. Thats all it says.

I read something online about someone having the same exact issue and the person found out it was the speed sensor and that the trans goes into safemode once the vss fails. Then again im not sure what sensor ( if it is even that) is failing. Ive only replaced the one thats I belive by the transmission. I know from what ive learned online, that theres sensors on the tires aswell in the front but how can I tell which ones are not working.

Vehicle speed sensor and wheel speed sensor are two different things. With 4wd, the speed sensor shows to be on the transfer case.

HI. SORRY I HAVENT BEEN BACK ON SOOO SOON TO EXPLAIN WHAT I DID WITH MY CAR. SO I JUST ENDED UP TAKING IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC WHICH CAME OUT NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ISSUE I WAS HAVING. SO THE TRANSMISSON SHOP TOLD ME IT WAS ELECTRICAL SO I TOOK IT TO THE ELECTRICAL SHOP AND THE GUY TOLD ME IT WAS THE HARNESS TO THE TRUCK AND A TRANSMISSION MODULE PROBLEM. WELL HE FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH USED PARTS ( WHICH IS WHAT HE TOLD ME) AND THEN CHARGED ME 600.00 FOR IT. WELL GOT MY TRUCK BACK YESTERDAY, AND ITS DRIVING GREAT JUST THE CLYANOID ISSUE THATS ALL. WELL, TODAY I WAS GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR AND WAS DRIVING VERY GOOD ONCE I WAS ON MY WAY BACK HOME I ( SPEED LIMIT IS 35MPH IN MY AREA) I HAD TO GO AROUND A CAR THAT WASIN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. THATS WHEN ALLL HELL BROKE LOSE! WELL, MY GAS PEDAL STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND WHILE MY CAR IS NOW ECCELERATING TO A VERY HIGH SPEED MY BRAKE WAS LOCKED AND I COULDNT PUCH IT AT ALL WAS STUCK. NOT JUST THAT MY STEERING WHEEL WAS IN LOCK TOO. ALMOST FELT LIKE THE DEVIL WAS IN THE DRIVER SEAT AND I WAS FIGHTING TO SAVE MINE AND MY DAUGHTERS LIVES. ONCE THIS HAPPENED THE TRUCK WAS MAKING THE MOST LOUDEST NOISE IVE EVER HEARD FROM A CAR. LIKE LOUD. THANKFULLY I SHUT THE CAR OFF WHILE IT WAS GOING STRAIGHT INTO A BRIDGE ( I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE) THEN THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL AND ONCE IT CAME TO 1MPH SPEED I PARKED IT. OMG, IM STILL SHAKING AND MY HEART WAS POUNDING SOOOO HARD IT WAS LIKE GOING TO BURST OUT OF MY CHEST. IM NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THIS AND IVE CERTAINLY NEER HEARD OF STEERING WHEEL LOCKING, BRAKE LOCKING AND GAS PEDAL STOCK ALLLLLL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR, OH AND THE VERY EXTREMELY LOUDDDD NOISE. IM SOOO SCARED TO DRIVE IM NOT A GUY SOO IM DONT KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT CARS JUST WHAT I CAN LEARN ONLINE. IM CRYING RIGHT NOW CAUSE I COULD HAVE HURT PEOPLE OR ME AND MY DAUGHTER. THANK GOD, ONCE I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT ON FOR THE SECOND TIME WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, IT LITTERALY WENT BACK TO NORMAL LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. IM SOOO SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS IM IN SUCK SHOCK AND PANIC IM CRYING AS I TYPE. THE GUY THAT FIXED MY TRUCK WAS SOOOO SHADY BUT IM NOT SURE IF THAT PROBLEM HAD ANYTHING TO DO WIT THE HARNESS.
