This is something a novice should not do. It can easily explode in your face and injur you as well as the car.

I do not consider myself a novice simply and because I have never removed an airbag doen not make me one. The manual I have describes how to remove one but the description does not match this year of the Bravada even though the title of the book indicates that it should. Thought I might get just a little help not an insult. Sorry.

Update:I did successfully remove the airbag, finish my work and replace it and I feel more at risk of having an air blow up in my face while driving on the Arkansas freeways than while performing that task. Thank you though for the warning which I was well aware of

You remove it the same as you remove any airbag. There are or should be two holes in the bottom of the steering wheel. Take either a small flat tip scredriver or a dull flat tool and push the sprins towards the center of the wheel on each side and liftup. Then disconect the wiring.
