how to replace my rear axle took old one off but cant get new one in says to go from back of shaft but mine is flat on the back someone said I had to get it pressed off and on is that true or can I do this myself

we don't have good pic of rear axle shafts at all but normally they are bolted in and then the wheel bearing has to be presed off and back on or it is pressed into axle.
