Is it hard to install is this a kit or separate piece and do i need to buy anything else with it, after 10 minutes of driving car sputters and stalls.

The hard part is it has to be placed in the exact way it was removed or the timing will be out.

Yes, the engine won't run or it will backfire. If you are lucky enough to get it close, it may run poorly, and have no power.
