I have a 2000 nissan quest and we just changed the spark plugs, distributor, and battery with new terminals but when we start it after a few minutes it misfires and it idles up and down until it stalls out after a few more minutes. The air filter cover is warped and is not sealed correctly. We get a code for the MAF.

all air leaks must be sealed going into and out of engine as well as grommets. no holes in duct work either. try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner.then after fixing this scan for codes. misfires are very hard to diagnose. you need to have it freeze framed and see what is screwing up sensor wise. causing the misfire or if it's a basic engine problem or injector.
