2000 Nissan Pathfinder one cylinder not firing

Hi. I drive a 2000 model pathfinder. Computer indicates cylinder 6 not firing. They've changed the plugs, coil and nozzle on this cylinder without improvement. The engine lacks compression and vibrates on idle running. What else could be the problem?

Is the number six fuel injector getting power? Is the plug getting a good hot spark? What do you mean by lacking compression? Low compression will cause a misfire or a cylinder not to fire at all.

The engine shakes profusely when it starts. By lack of compression, I mean the engine has got no power. They have interchanged the plugs and yet the one cylinder is not firing. I asked the mechanic to grind the valves only but he is hell bent on changing the rings. In my opinion I do nor see why rings could be the cause. I taught rings can only cause smoking and soaking of plugs with oil. The plugs are not soaking yet.

Rings can cause low engine compression, which is what I am thinking at this point. If it has been checked, let me know the compression readings. NOTE: There are rings for compression and ones for oil. One can be bad without the other being an issue.
