I need to install Nissan part #16391 (Element Thermo Kit) into my 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. The instructions have been obviously translated from Japanese (badly, I might add), and they say to install within 10 seconds of removal from the "fixture". The "Fixture" being a bracket with a large spring keeping the element compressed. So, I need to get this thing into my throttle body and get it under pressure again within 10 seconds? Or, is the translation really that bad?

Yep, you really have to get it in there fast, else you run a risk of ruining the new part. After you take it out of that caged bracket, it will start trying to open.

Well i've never actually timed myself with a stopwatch. But I work as fast as I can. Because I know that everyone in the shop will make jokes about me if I have to go back to the parts department and pay for another one.

But trust me, that 10 seconds feels like a lifetime.
