what can happen if you get water in your gas

truck was running fine until i put hi octane gas in it. it started missing and jumping real bad.the more i pushed the gas the less gas it would give me.it sounded like it was backfiring in the motor not the exhaust.it got worse after driving it about 20 miles now it wont crank.

Have you checked for codes yet?Have you checked fuel pressure?ALso have you checked for spark?
