I have this 2000 Altima that the engine will just die at times, especially when stopped at a light or intersection. No check engine light is on and there are no codes on the computer that come up as being an error message. So far car will restart after a couple of minutes. Doesn't do this all the time just once in awhile.
What would be the cause?

I would be checking for spark and injection pulse and fuel pressure when it fails, can you do this?

Very difficult to get out and check fuel pressure or spark when the car has stopped at a traffic light and people are honking at you to get going. Any other suggestions?

The Idea is get it towed and do the checks, I do not expect it to be done any other way, you must know what has failed, first.
