I have a problem on my coils on my Mitsubushi Pajero IO I replaced by coils with new ones but it has caused the number 1 coil to be heated everytime I start the engine and the other coils are ok with current flowing through why is that the number 1 coil getting hot everytime I start the vehicle.

Hello,

This is what happens when the coil driver in the ECM becomes closed all the time. The ECM will need to be replaced.

Please let us know what happens.

Read this guide and test the wires from the ECM to the coil to be sure it isnt bad

Good evening, I have a pajero junior, it is not starting, I have checked all wires for continuety and for shorts to earh and pos, when I measure voltage at my injectors both the connectors have 12 volt power when ignition is switched on, I have tried cranking to see if I am loosing voltage to one of the wires but they at all times have 12 volts.
I also have on spark on the engine, the engine has a ditributor that is giving me the signal that the crank sensor and or cam sensor would give me, I am not sure how I would test the signal from the distributor that should be triggering my spark and injector signal, I am suspecting that it is a foulty distributor or control unit.

Is there any further tests that you could suggest I try before repalcing the parts as the costs are high for both the components.

Scan for codes and see if scanner pics something up if no dist signal normally no injector signal. We dont' have that model in US so no info on it

Mate hopefully you can help me,
i have a 1989 nf v6 3.0lt 6g72 Pajero auto it has no spark or injector pulse
it has a new ecu I have tried different modules, coils, still no go & no power to the coil?
Could it be the relay next to the ecu (P/N) E8T06571

i have a new ecu just plugged in and nothing presume no
codes are in it and yes I have check for power to the coil
and there is nothing at all what else should I be looking for
and what is the correct way to install new ECU

Ignition coil receives power from the ignition switch.

Check for broken wires and bad fuses.

When installing ECU, battery negative terminal should be disconnected.

I have checked all the fuses and with a digital muiltmeter bought from a auto shop have stripped wiring harness for assessment looks all good not getting spark or fuel pump. Power is to the injectors have tried swapping ecu's numerous times still no go where is the ignition switch is it next to the ecu with p/n e8t06571? It seems to be clicking and stuff when key engaged. I have had the dizzy tested tested like new from a auto sparky testesd with a (LED Light)
don't really no where else to look if I unplug the dizzy wiring then plug it back in I hear a quick pulse sound tested power to injectors
gives me 12volt if I put a test light in there it shows 0 weired no light shows if I put voltmenter and test light together in same spot
it kills the voltmenter reading STARTING TO TIP ME OFF THIS THING!

"O" and there is power to the coil and if I put voltmeter in when coil lead goes it still shows power

Seems the distributor is faulty. When the distributor does not provide any sparks, the injectors would not be commenaded to pulse.

Had the dristributor tested
It turned out to be such a little thing
It was a faulty mpi relay next to the ecu
After all the trouble untaping the harness
That mpi relay was the problem I bridged the 2 sides
Together and away she went now unbridged it and works
Like normal wiered ay should I replace the mpi relay? E8t06571
Wont go second hand will go new and where can I buy them from and
