can I switch these engines without any hassle

I have a 2000 full size mitsubishi montero xls 3.5l..engine is blown,i found a 2001 montero sport engine 3.0l...My question can i do the swap with no major custom like welding, harness ect? Will the auto transmission fit the 3.0l engine ?

Stay with a direct fit engine. When you change like you mentioned, the computer, wiring harness, vacuum harness, motor mounts... need replaced.
