I have a 2000 mitsubishi glant. Well to start off it died on my would not start come to find out it was the crank shaft sensor we replaced it and it run for a day or two. I parked it went to start it up would not start. I was told it was the fuel pump because when you turn on the key the pump would not come on until you cranked the motor so I replaced it and still the same I put a new fuel relay in it and a new cam shaft sensor and still no luck. I was told to take off the breather from the throttle body and squart some gas and try that I did put it just shot smoke and gas back at me so I toke my hand and put over the throttle body had my wife crank the car it would suck my hand in and then blow it off the throtttle body. Can you help me.

Is the Malfunctioning Indicator Light showing and did you check for trouble codes?
Which engine do you have?

Engine need not be started to retrieve trouble codes. A scan tool or code reader would power up when ignition switch is turned on.
