When I put the car in drive it won't move. You can hear the engine rev but the wheel won't move. Will it be the torque converter or should I just replace the transmission? And what year transmissions will fit in a 2000 Montero Sport

check fluid level first and it could be either the trans or converter. check with a local shop on replacement or a junkyard. all your electrical MUST hook up . if you don 't have a dipstick then you will have to consult a manual on how to fill it.
