My car did not enter reverse but the reverse light will be on as soon as i put it in reverse and it did not select properly it did not raise properly the on raising it will only get to 3 and i was told it is the air flowmeter so i will like to know what to do now. Thanks

The two items are not related. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor to see if it changes how the engine runs. If it does, then first try cleaning it. They make a special cleaner for it. If that doesn't help, it will most likely need replaced. However, that has nothing to do with the transmission not shifting into reverse. Make sure the trans fluid is clean and full. If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from.
