whenever I turn my ac on I get a high pitch whine as though the belt is slipping, but its not. I switch it off and on a few times and then it stops and the ac starts to work. Is it the clutch or what ? . How do I go about repairing it ?? Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks
Ranga.

it may be your clutch is slipping on the ac or worn out. Have a pro check it out because the clutch has to be et a certain distance and you might blow the charge replacing it as it would have to be evacuated and recharged anyhow.
