My 2000 mercury sable the heater only blows warm air the thermostat has been replaced and the coolant checked. No problems with the ac just heater. Please help I am cold.

Very common problem. Your heater core may be plugging up allowing the bypass to take most of flow. A suggested fix is back flushing heater core or simply blocking off bypass hose. Another quirk for these cars is the water pump may be weakened by corroded propeller fins. Thus slowing water flow and heat transfer.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
