Turning lights not working properly

Hard to say, you need to check which wire is powering up the globe, it may be getting a back feed this will have to be checked first hand by an auto electrician as it can be tricky to trace down.

This sounds like a faulty combination switch. The contact inside the switch can break and cause a short to power condition. You can verify it by disconnecting the switch to see if it stops.
