my car failed imissions .how can I sort this problem.is it a censor.

You can do a number of things. Make sure that there are not any check engine codes/lights. You can replace simple things on your emissions system. Clean the EGR valve, replace the PCV valves and if it still does not pass you can try the 02 sensors. Even a new catalytic converter.
