I am hoping you can help define the issue with my car.
I filled it up with fuel the other day and now it is chuggling along in first gear like its about to run out of fuel, move into 2nd gear and it screams along then ill get a burst of fuel and it will kick into normal.

I have possibly got a bad batch of fuel and need to just suck it up and deal with it or a block injector which i dont know how to change or dare i say a fuel pump issue. I have noticed a really intense oil smell.
I did make it to work this morning but worried i may not make it back this afternoon.

Can you help?

I would suggest starting with the basics.

Check the spark plugs and related components.
