I am thinking of buying a 2000 Lincoln LS for $1000. The owner says that the timing chain is broke. How much would it cost to get this fixed?

Around 800-1000. If the valves are bent from this process, add another 2200-2500.

Always a bad idea to buy these cars with big issues. It may pay to install a used motor
