2000 Lexus Rx 300 Driving Highway Speeds Car Suddenly Loses Power Rpm S Drop

When driving at highway speeds the car suddenly loses power and the rpm's drop about 500, but if you mash the gas pedal it comes back pretty quickly. Just had the fuel filter and pump replaced, and it's doing it worse than ever. Even the mechanic at the shop (not Lexus) is stumped. This is getting very expensive...does anyone have any suggestions?

Does it have a check engine light? Check the fuel pressure,mass airflow sensor and throttle position sensor and also the exhaust system for restriction-
