I have a 2000 Kia Sephia, I installed a used heater/blower motor. The cage was cracked open so it was rubbing on the housing thats why it had to be replaced. At times now with the used motor in it fails to turn on immediately with the ignition switch, worked fine previously

Old was cracked or new? Is there a problem now?

The old one was cracked, the new cage is fine-the only issues is that sometimes the motor doesn't turn on right away-is there any way to check the motor since it is used?

It's either connections or bad/stuck brushes or damaged brushed holders or dead spot on armature? Can you dis assemble and check things?

I'M really not very confident to do this-but if you think its the motor I will just replace it-also it started to go up and down in the intensity of power-it seems like it is burning out-I only paid $15 for it-the way it sounds if I discriptive enouph does this sound like a motor problem?

If you wire it directly to a 12v source and it turns on immediately and runs smoothly and consistently then suspect something else in your auto wiring circuit/controls.
