How hard is it to install a ECM on a 2000 Kia Sephia, and is a used ecm as good as a new one?

Disconnect battery negative terminal.
Pull carpet to one side.
Disconnect connectors.
Remove holding bolts.
Remove ECM.
Accessing it is the most difficult part.
ECM seldoms fails and old or new does not make much difference as long as they works.
