My 2000 wrangler sports break lights stopped working, night lights and signal lights work...no break or light above the rear wheel work when applying the break. Fuse is good, whats the problem?

It could be the Pedal Switch,

You can test to see if that is the problem, by unplugging its connector and Jumping across the 2 terminals (on the connector). By doing this, the Brake Lights Should come on.......if the switch is, indeed, your problem.

If you want to know what you are looking for, it should be on the upper part of your brake pedal

I cannot show you what it looks like....But, if you will go to Advance Auto or Autozone Online (others too) You can plug in your info, follow it through to the end (where you can get a price, don't just stop at Brake Light Switch or Stop Light Switch!)

It may also be that maybe, yours is just out of adjustment.

These are hard to access, on your back, with your neck contorted!

A mirror is sometimes helpful with a bright light.

If you do have to change it out, INSURE YOU GET THE PEDAL'S LINKAGE, CONNECTED BACK CORRECTLY........This is your BRAKES, you must depend on them!

Let me know what happens...The Soap Opera Fix, Is about all I get out of an answer!
