In the short term, remove the cooling fan fuse(s), so that it will not drain the battery.

To cure the problem:
When the relay sticks closed, the fan will run constantly. The fan relay is located in a very hard to reach location, underneath the passenger side front bumper. According to the Chrysler/Jeep service manual, removal of the front fascia is required for a proper repair. Those of us who work on these vehicles and need to replace the relay will remove the passenger headlamp assembly and cut a hole in the top of the black plastic bumper, slightly offset from the center. The relay looks like a flat piece of silver metal about 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 with a wire connector attached. The relay will be held down with two screws. If you decide to attempt this repair, you will need to reseal the hole, so keep the plastic that you cut and use a two part epoxy to seal everything up. (you could just use duct tape to cover thehole) It will normally take about a half hour to dry and may fall down before that so you need to keep an eye on the epoxy to make sure it stays on.
