The steering wheel on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport just started squeaking when I turn it to the left. The sound seems to come from right under the steering wheel cover and is highly annoying. Power steering fluid is fine and I have no problem with the steering itself.

What could cause this, and what could be the fix? This vehicle is garage kept, most of the time is used just a couple of times a week as I work from home, and the weather has been cold lately.

Thanks in advance for your help!
