Should there be oil in the camshaft position sensor location

When my car gets too hot it stops running, I had it checked and its the camshaft sensor, when the sensor is pulled out it's covered in oil. I've tried putting in another part but it won't start with a new part but will start with the old part when put back in.

What is the code, a number never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.

Yes, there is supposed to oil on the sensor.

We need the code number to help you

The new part could be a misfit or is faulty.
