The throwout bearing just goes into the ears on the fork.
Did you remove the fork?

Not the fingers, the pressure plate.
If the slave is fully extended, it may have already seated. Can you shift into gear with it running?
Did you adjust the rod on the clutch master?

Under the dash at the clutch pedal. You need a 12mm open end wrench to loosen the nut and turn the rod.
