anti theft system

How do I disable anti theft system in a 2000 Hyundai Elantra. red security light blinks steady. will not let me crank engine.?

Hello,

You will need to reinitialize the system which means you need to remove the negative battery cable terminal off on hold it to the negative terminal for 5 minutes to drain the capacitors down and reboot the system.
