A few weeks ago we started having trouble getting the gear shift to move out of park, so we started turning the car off and putting it in neutral, cranking back up, and the gear shift would work fine...then the key started getting stuck in the ignition...but gently jiggling the gearshift would release the key. Now its become difficult to start at all; won't even turn over until a million tries, then suddenly it will crank like nothing's wrong, albeit after many attempts. I figure this is all somehow related, but looking for the least costly way to repair it since I'm disabled and on a very fixed income.
