Hi,

Please I need urgent help. When I drive my CRV, it hesitates after a while of speeding especially while trying to now slow down. Now once I slow down and want to pick up again, it jerks for some secs before picking up sharply again (You will see the needle rise sharply from position 1 to 3). I have changed the fuel pump but the problem still persists. I ran a scan with my dashboard scanner and I discovered the rpm reader(on the application) on it doesn't read zero when I am not depressing the throttle (It reads 9%). When I depress it all the way down, it stops at 91% on the application.

Thank you for your response. Do I have to loosen the throttle body to clean it or Can I just spray the hole with the choke cleaner? My scanner doesn't display any codes.

Yo have to take the air duct off leading to it then clean one side and use finger to open other side. If you are not sure of where it is go to tune up on repair on our site here. On here they also have one where you do take it off but that is not necessary. Do this with engine OFF it may be hard to start when you are finished. Then hook air duct back up as well.

Hi, I have done all that but the car still hesitates while slowing down. It doesn't happen while on top speed but only when I am trying to slow down, or accelerate again. I have scanned it but no error codes displayed but the following were noticed, The rpm reading on the scan only gets to 92% on full throttle and stays at 8% at no throttle press. I use the dash command app for my scanning.

Please what can I do again or is there any test I can perform to pin down the cause of this problem?

Many thanks.

Hi, I appreciate all your responses. However, a Pro has scanned it but all that came up was the PO420 code for catalytic converter. I noticed that the jerking occurs when downsizing from 3 to 2 and 1 to 2. Do I need a new transmission or what? Or can this be drilled down further and resolved. Is there anything in the transmission that can be changed to stop this occurrence.
