2000 Honda Civic manifold catalytic converter

I will be having it replaced soon I can get it done 300' cheaper at the muffler shop than at the honda dealer but oil am afraid that the aftermarket cat might not fit or work as good the muffler shop will be putting in a catco if they do the work I know nothing about cars so please help me I have been living alone since my husband passed several years ago and now on socialised so just trying to make sure of what to do

You should be fine getting an aftermarket part as long as they provide you with a good warranty. Ask what they are offering you as far as warranty and let me know what they tell you.
