code p1739 and goes back about 2 to 4 feet then locks up

when i go forward its good just when back up it locks up and if hold the gear in between the r and n it goes back good but if hold the r it locks up

trans 3rd clutch switch is typical diagnosis for that code. about 2-300 to fix. dealer may find additional codes. these yrs trans are prone to serious problems.
